Did you know that Mrs.Nix won a $5,000 grant from the National Education Association Foundation this month? Mrs. Nix is a Language Arts teacher at CRMS. Nix won the grant by writing persuasively about how the Journalism class needed technology items for school.
The Las Cruces Sun Times published an article about our winning the grant. There were many people who wrote in for this grant but we were the lucky ones. Mrs. Nix is going to buy laptops, digital cameras, and a scanner. This way we can learn how to take pictures for the newspaper and we can also scan in cartoons and artwork directly online.
This is a great class and we have really improved so far this year. We hope the newspaper will help everyone know what's going on here at CRMS.
